Most Influential Women in UK Tech

Computer Weekly has announced their 2023 longlist of the most influential women in UK tech. Excitingly this year it includes two of our very own colleagues from Product & Tech: Anna Barsby, Chief Product & Technology Officer and Georgina Owens, Chief Technology Officer.

This year, more than 650 women have been put forward for the top 50 list, that endeavours to showcase the technology sector’s brilliant and hardworking women.

For the 12th year in a row, a panel of judges will choose the shortlist of 50 women, to allow readers to vote for who they believe should receive the accolade of Most Influential Woman in UK Technology 2023.

Anna Barsby, said: “It’s inspiring to see how much this list grows each year. In 2012, the list featured just 25 women, so it shows that female representation in this industry is going in the right direction. There’s always more we can do, but it’s wonderful to be nominated and great to get the chance to celebrate women’s contributions.”

Georgina Owens said: "I am constantly told by other women in tech that role models are important to them and that they just don't have enough of them, so this kind of recognition is a massive boost to building gender diversity and a great honour to be recognised."

The shortlist will be published soon and the winner will be announced in October.

The longlist can be found here.
